all he wants for Christmas...

is his FOUR front teeth!
Poor Aaron, four teeth coming in and to add to the misery, another ear infection. What a trooper. And, still as happy as can be. We love you Aaron!

Our little mover and biter

Yup, another chopper broke free a few days ago. Sharp as can be. Needless to say, Aaron is a chewing fool. But we still love him. Just look at that sweet face!
He's really moving now and Josh has discovered that he loves to tease the poor kid.

on the first day of school break...

we did lots of things:
I slept in--THANKS boys, for being so good and quiet. That was a modern day miracle!
Did science projects: first we played around with vortices, then moved on to density

Created alien martians. Sam was so proud of his two-headed alien.
And went for a run around the lake. The boys were happy Frank got home early and they enjoyed skipping rocks, and we had running races. SO MUCH FUN. Hooray for Christmas break!

school parties

Mrs. Barnett's class had a Polar Express party on Thursday. The kiddos got to wear their jammie's. They prepared the room earlier in the week by making the train on the wall, stop signs, railroad tracks...everything looked awesome! They got to watch the show later that afternoon. We had their class party in the morning, and did several games and had donuts and hot cocoa. It was a lot of fun! Here's Josh at his table with friends: Kelsey, Ashaun, Kimberly, Juan and Gracie.

These were the poor tracks during the party. Lots of foottraffic and no one was really watching out for the tracks. Mrs. Barnett said that Josh was the team leader and really took charge of the project. She said he was on the ball with delegating and getting things organized and that shew as real proud of him. Below, Josh is at the cakewalk game. Looks, like he had to work hard for the treats!

Christmas BINGO. Sam was so happy to be able to come to the party. Lucky him!

Mrs. Barnett had an ornament craft for all the kids. They painted the clear ornaments with glass paint. Chose two colors and got to shaking them. Josh picked silver and red. It is pretty cool!

Pin the carrot on the snowman!

Sam's class along with the other Pre-K classes had a "winter program." He was sweet and looked so cute in his reindeer sweatshirt. Somehow he managed to land in the front row, I think that attributed to some stage fright, but overall he did great. I was so proud of him! They sang several cute Christmas songs. Then they went back to their room for their class party.

Sam was happy to get to have more treats.

more Christmas festivities!

This morning our ward had a Primary activity, breakfast with Santa. The kids had fun. I went up to the church early to start cooking--we had pancakes, bacon, eggs & juice. We all ate and the kids did some crafts, then Santa made an appearance. He even brought he kids presents. Lucky them! Aaron was cute, checking out Santa. Sam's teacher, Sister Adams sat down and made a snowman card with him.

Sam actually sat on Santa's lap, still a bit shy, but that's a miracle!

I think I like this guy...

This afternoon we were invited to a cookie party. Sam's little friend Elijah from school has a neat family tradition. They invite family and friends over for lunch and to decorate cookies. Talk about a ton of kiddos running wild...Carrie was brave to host, and it was a lot of fun! Here are the two amigos in action.

Frank spoils Aaron with goodies!

Dazed by the sugar rush--can this be considered a 'stache that demands respect?!

Gingerbread Houses

We had a lovely time decorating gingerbread houses this afternoon. Frank and Josh were a team and Sam and I, also. We love family time! I'm surprised that Josh didn't end up sick by eating all the treats along the way. He got carried away with the gum drops towards the end with his "fence". Aaron enjoyed eating the cinnamon graham crackers. Props to Frank and his eye for detail--I love the shingles on the roof. Bring on the Christmas festivities, we love this time of year!
